It isn't often anymore that we hear real doozies from the kids as far as language oopses.
Today, however, Adam came in the house telling me, "Mama, Liana and Aleksa are bugging me around!"
Hate when that happens.

Cute! He almost got it right! Now he just needs to get bug proofed.
Love you,
Grandma
Hi Shelly,
This is Melin. I've posted to you before, though it has been a long while.
Call me crazy, but I cried when I read that your Dad died. I'm so sorry.
Your pain just jumps off the page.
I can easily imagine that he was a wonderful gentleman: I see him through you, his daughter.
I also want to tell you that, I'm not exactly sure why, but I totally get your post about survivors guilt.
I only explore this briefly, sometimes, but I can't quite reconcile my mix of emotions.
Never saw anyone post about that before. It's a measure of comfort to me that someone else feels sort of similar.
Please accept my sympathy on the loss of your Dad. I'm a Christian and so his words, "I'm free" truly bless me.
Thank you for sharing that. I really mean this, "thank you" as my faith has certainly been challenged this past year (two or three!).
Indeed, the good news for today is that Sunday is coming!!
Respectfully,
Melin
p.s. - so impressed with how your dd memorized such a lengthy memory recitation!!
Melin, thank you so much for the lengthy and heart-felt comment/post. It meant a lot that someone else cried with me for my dad... I think of him so often! You're right on the money - he was a good, kind man, and will he ever be missed by a lot of people.
Please feel free to email me any time... Gets lonely here in Blog Land when I'm the only one talkin'. ;o) (I mean that for anyone out there, btw!)
Glad to hear Dad's final words were a blessing to you. It sure made it easier for us to let him go, knowing how eager and happy he was to do so.
Take care,
Shelly
